Interactive Quiz
This quiz is clearly not a serious questionnaire that will tell you what you will become. It is merely a funny interactive quiz that simplifies the process of reincarnation. I thought it would be a interesting way for us to see how we react to certain situations and what we could do differently. It shows some of us that there is better ways to act in certain situations. I chose to use a generic magazine style quiz to organize the responses into three different types.
Hindu Artwork
I chose to include multiple examples of Hindu artwork because they are all so colorful and different. The interpretations of the Gods are so different than we see in Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. They use much brighter colors to paint their pictures. While many of our interpretations of Jesus are dark gloomy images of him nailed to the cross, the interpretations of the Hindu Gods are shown through bright cheerful images. Christianity also utilizes shades of white to represent cleanliness and sanctity, while the Hindu images are full of bright blues and pinks and purples.
Videos
I chose to include these videos because they are so interesting. The culture and lifestyle in India is not in the slightest bit comparable to America. I chose the video including Holi because I participated in a Holi Festival in Atlanta with a few of my friends. It was one of the most interesting and fun things I have ever done. I chose the other videos because I love the way the music sounds. It ties all the clips in the videos together perfectly. The final video provides a basic summary of Hinduism and touches on a lot of key points.
Verbal Collage
I chose to make a verbal collage for my final extra element. The words I used represent the main gods, main views, and main practices of Hinduism. I chose the colors because they seemed earthy and simple, which is what comes to mind when I think of Hinduism. The words I used all came from a Hindu online glossary of terms.
